Court Proceedings can be distressing, time consuming and expensive. Mediation has proven to be less stressful, cheaper and significantly quicker than going through the Courts. It also has a high success rate where both people are willing to engage.

I work with clients to discuss how their futures might look after separation; whether that be in respect of financial matters or how they will co-parent their children. The beauty of mediation is that clients make their own decisions and retain control over outcomes, rather than a Judge making those decisions for them. Mediation can be used at any time, even after agreements have been reached, where Clients require assistance in discussing other matters that may arise.

My role is to be an independent third party, helping clients to have discussions in a calm and focused way. Just as you would expect within Court Proceedings, experts such as Financial Advisors, Surveyors, Pensions Specialists and Estate Agents can be brought in to the process to ensure that clients are fully informed before making decisions or agreements. I can also signpost services that could help in your situation, such as Counsellors and support for children.
